Been rehearsing The Event up at Calvitto's spacious living room in his new digs in Washington Heights. Saving some do-re, but I'm coming from the Lower East Side, so that's about an hour door-to-door.
I could be in the Poconos, for the love of Gob.
To get to Dave's it's the F to the A and then I take the A train just about to the end of the line.
Which leads us to our MAMQ.
For all you jazzbos out there (I'm looking at you, Ann),
Who composed the stunning Take The A Train?
1. Dizzy Gillespie
2.Billy Strayhorn
3. Duke Ellington
4. Count Basie

I vote Duke Ellington. Cause I've always loved that name.
Didn't the Duke Ellington orchestra play on the A Train for some anniversary recently?
Don't know. Heard a mariachi band the other day.
